Corporate Sales Manager

Job Introduction

As our Corporate Accounts Sales Manager you are responsible for achieving sales and gross profit targets through effective leadership of a team of Key Account and National Account Managers, who manage a defined number and value of corporate account customers. Covering the area of the M4 Corridor.

You will support, direct and lead the retention of customers whilst maximising sales opportunities to achieve targets across a number of key measures.

Role Responsibility

Key responsibilities & accountabilities:

People Management & Development

  • Ensure Key and National Account Managers have appropriate knowledge, competence and skills to do perform the role and deliver the expected result.
  • Monitor, review and observe performance regularly to ensure activity and output is at the defined level and build robust performance improvement plans when necessary.
  • Through effective planning, ensure a succession plan is in place to meet the medium and long term needs of the team/business.
  • Ensure agreed control procedures and systems are in place and are being used properly.
  • To comply and enforce Company policies, procedures and standards. Promoting Quality, Environmental company practices and a safe and healthy working environment at all times
  • To ensure team members are trained, targeted and monitored to maximise business opportunities.

Strategic Management / Customer Retention

  • Visit key decision makers at a frequency agreed with the Divisional Director to ensure positive trading relationships with customers.
  • Build and approve commercial proposals and negotiate fixed term agreements so as to maximise business potential.
  • Demonstrate a full understanding of our proposition and its benefits to clients and potential clients.
  • Increase the spend through product penetration, and gross profit, of those accounts visited.

  • The ability to maintain a high degree of discipline through a fair and professional interaction with team members, setting up clear action plans and conducting efficient follow up.

Role specific:-

  • Demonstrates the ability to drive and motivate team members to perform their jobs well and generates high employee morale and satisfaction.
  • The ability to effectively manage the personal and professional growth of the individual team members to ensure the overall efficiency and cooperation of the team.
  • The ability to maintain a high degree of discipline through a fair and professional interaction with team members, setting up clear action plans and conducting efficient follow up.
  • Complete understanding of the sales and business development process, strong commercial acumen, with experience and a proven track record in sales and margin development and re-tender process at corporate level.
  • In depth understanding of Lyreco’s sales proposition and work place solutions offering together with a sound knowledge of the company's sales proposition advantages and potential benefits to customers.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Have a sound knowledge of the company's objectives and philosophies.
  • There is a need to be mobile and to work in different locations across the UK as required.
  • You are required to hold a full valid Driving Licence.

Package Description

The salary on offer is up to £56,000 (DOE)OTE commission of £20,000 with an additional commission structure, Car/Allowance & Corporate Benefits Package which includes Private Healthcare and Pension Scheme.
